20 September Cell-groupi'm beginning to enjoy this group of people..
2009 has been one the toughest moment for me and the CG..
Leading this people was an heartache for me initially..
the group seems to drop back to the days where we struggle in our one digit..
we ended of with 19 in 2008.
and in 2009, we had 21.
however, the figure keeps hovering for a long period.
in the middle of the year, a few mbrs were not so committed and decide to be less active...
the figures could go to as low as 13-14 on an average weekend.
its always the same old faces..
got quite demoralized.. tried all sorts of things but nothing seemed to be working.
Well, i guess God has his timings..
A breakthru at the right time (like what we learn in last wk's sermon) can bring God the glory.
From a low of 8 members 2 weeks ago,
we boom to 17-20!
All glory to God!!!
I realise the importance of unity.
That we shouldn't just 'hurry' and focus on the growth and number but to construct a fun and spiritual team that will fight together.
I'm amazed at how fast things change.
With just a few game sessions that we had (bball, soccer, badminton) and some really fun CG games and outings like prawning.. we manage to start a 'spark' to the CG's synergy level.
More mbrs are getting healthier.
One person in particular is Anna.
I'm surprise at how God made a zero to a hero.
She used to be a very shy and quiet girl. You won't really pin much hopes on her for sparking off a revival.
However, she transformed tremendously.
You can count on her to be there every week.
From a person who doesn't read the Bible to an active Bible study goer. She completed her Getting Started in just 3 days during the Sep Hols and now has started attending Christian Lifestyle and CIC concurrently. More than that, she can proudly proclaim that she finish reading the whole book of Matthew.
And today, she brough 3 friends!!!
Janice who used to leave very early and seldom fellowship became active too. She even volunteered to teach Bible Study now that her promos are over.
Her spiritual diary has encouraged me in knowing that she enjoys follow-upping on mbrs and friends. She's another bright rising star.
And my 3 generals - Gary Chung Rachel in being so transformed in their leadership now.
Chung had his breakthru in prayer. He no longer struggles with it anymore.
He's even learning how to start prayer meetings with his group.
Gary's guitar skills have improved too. Very soon, I know I can sit back and let him take full control of praise and worship. His anointing in playing and leading his mbrs have improved as well. And of cuz, constantly bring so active as a bible-study machine.
Rachel is always so teachable. I can count on her to disciple the younger ones. I know that she will be able to be up there one day. Still believing in her.
Wow.. I'm so encouraged with members like that.
I know that this is just the beginning. I thank God for preparing a whale for us. Now, our CG's much committed and every one is shining for God.
I've laid the foundations. My wish is for the CG to take off into flight from here.
My 3 precious CGCs and the rest of my disciples to do more for the Kingdom of God.
Greater things are yet to come, greater things are still to be done in W453.
That's the best bdae present they can ever give me.
Always believing in them,
11 September 2009 bdae wishes2 more weeks before turning 24...
am i excited? mmmm... o.. k ... la.
i still remembered some key moments in my life like when i was 14... (got very excited for Christ, joined choir, became an OM etc..
17... entered into a new phase of my life... JC... total mess.. things are diff...
21 and 22... adulthood... 3 zones in a year... WYZ family...
and now....24. haha... one more year to mid-twenties!
Can't deny that I'm ageing le. I truly believe that 25 will be a highlight for me!
A year where I'll graduate and I do look forward for a new job.
I used to hope that I might be able to enter into the entertainment industry.
After numerous short stincts with Mediacorp, I don't see any open doors.
I keep telling myself that when I turn 25, I'll settle down and know what path I would choose ahead for my career.
Guess after being a CGL, being attached to a lovely princess... the next thing that I really would like to focus on is to find a good career that will give me satisfaction and fulfillment. That's perhaps my greatest wish for now...
So for the 'sake' of my ageing bdae.. well... use it as a chance to gather friends, make people happy and receive gifts!
Now.. what do I really want? hmmm... hard to answer... serious... cuz I don't have much desires.
Some say a car? If God is willing, I don't mind. But I know that it will be a liability for a self-surviving tutor/FT student like me.
so I'd rather say no unless it is fully sponsored and petrol paid for! haha... and of cuz.. only one person has the means to bless me with that - my 'El Shaddai'
next.. material needs? not really...
my wardrobe is full of clothings...
last year i received one Christian Audigier and one Ed Hardy... sad to say... haha... the prints got 'washed out' and it's ... argh.. gek sim to say.
But of course I love to look good and have nice clothes to wear. Any preferred brands? nah.. I always go for value-add. Cheap, nice and looks ex can alr. Design is my priority.
Watches? Plenty. No need for it.
Shoes? I love shoes.. mmm.. anything la. haha... so far I'm quite a vivid Beetle Bug fan. But... i'm quite satisfied for now. Currently wearing a common converse canvas shoe.
Bottoms? Hard to buy rite? I'm not gonna reveal my size! Its ok la.. my jeans rack is rather substantial.
So...
you guess la!
But I have to admit that being a 'technology laggard', I'm finally convinced of getting an i-pod after what Pst Tan said on tue - to listen to more sermons.
So... see how lar.
Tt's all folks! Looking fwd to your surprises and a fun time of fellowship!
Small and comfortable groups are preferred as I'm rather shy in nature

Tks,
07 September accidenti did it again.
thankfully it wasn't serious.
along siglap road after exiting pst's house.
a cab just stop without signalling infront of me.
accrdg to my passengers, he was a distance away from me but i just went straight into him
maybe about 30-50m.
he stopped at the middle of the road, no hazard light.
by the time vin shouted 'watch out', i hit my brakes hard but not enough to prevent the accident.
don's car plate fell off.
thank God that it was just the carplate, nothing much. don and the cab driver will settle.
i was at fault.
guess i wasn't focusing. was just looking at other lanes trying to filter out because i wasn't familiar with the road.
baby really comforted me. i was literally dumbfounded.
1week before my HK trip, my rental Toyata Wish hit into a women's car.
For that, i was really tail-gating. Another jam break incident.
I thought i manange to break in time and miss the car but i nudge into it and spoil her car's reverse sensors.
She was fierce and demanding. $500 burnt..
Well.. all these ordeal seems to hit my confidence in driving.
will i be able to drive again without fearing the roads?
with so many reckless and crazy impatient predators on the road..
i'm afraid.
well.. i just need to learn how to 'learn from experience' the hard way.
thank God that no one was majorly injured.
phew..
26 August HK 21 - 25/8I LOVE Hong Kong!
Back from HK yest mrng 115am. Was a gd relaxation trip with my mum, Donny and baby.
Doing the norms such as eating, shopping and visiting tourist attractions are a must-do for us!
Eating
Felt like a glutton! The very thing i want to do now is to hit the gym and exercise not knowing how much weight I've gained!
Exposed to the gallery of fantastic food such as porridge, dim sum, roasted goose, wanton noodles, we couldn't afford not to try the wide array of varities HK has to offer to us. Even upon leaving Changi Airport for HK, I stretched and 'warmed up' my stomach with a great appetizer to 'stock up' for the foodless flight with Jetstar.
Truly this trip is my 'most-weight' gained eat-all-you-can journey with 3-4 servings per meal. Talking about being gross, this trip says it all
Shopping
I'm a self-declared black belt shopper. Not as stylish as my most-respected fashion icon - Pst Kong but some how contented with my wardrobe. I can proudly say that I have ALOT of clothings. Open my wardrobe and you'll be drowned with endless clothings. This trip added many new inclusions to it. But the best part is in the bargaining of great deals at the night and wholesale markets!
Its just shiokk...!
Spent not too much as my own trip was budgetted with SGD$200 just purely on expenses (shopping+gifts) Tourist Attractions
Visited the Madame Tussads Musuem, Ocean Park, Lan Kwoi Fong, The Peak.
Swarmed by the flock due to the summer holidays and as well as the intense heat.
Perhaps a different season will be more enjoyable. But kudos to HK for their attractions. Great scenic view.
I'm quite amazed by their technology that I can see that we're learning from them in terms of the transport system, business industries.
Well done HK for your well-balanced mix of the new and the old environment.
1st year anniversary
Celebrated my 1st year with baby. 240808 to 240809. Through this one year, we've discovered so much more things about one another and we've learnt to accept and adapt to the similiarities and differences that we have. We've been through so much in this one year but I believe that once our foundations are laid, the rest of the years will be so much easier. I really enjoyed every single sweet romantic moment with her going through the joy and sufferings together. Love you loads. Looking forward to greater light years ahead!
Enjoy the summary pics below...
05 August wisdom increases increaseHi fans!
Haven't been updating my blog for donkey years!
Guess the easiest way to update everyone is to whip up a few photos of me on what I'm doing.
i miss writing..
din get much opp to write cuz it takes up ALOT of my time and I seriously lack sleep!
just some updates...
i'm very exicted as I'm nearing my SOT graduation in a week's time!
The final month has been the BEST month for me.
Was so blown away by Dr Joshua Hong's(Yoido Full) 4Ds , Pst Kong's Book of Romans and the current Theology that studies the history of Christianity.
Pst Kevin Loo from CHC KL came yest to preach. I see so much zest and faith in him. Totally inspired..
He made this statement: 'wisdom increases increase'
WOW! Amazing..
As for my career...
I hit my ALL-TIME high tuition assignments.
Praise God for that.
Currently, I've got 7 maths students(YW HH YT ROS FR RC FEL) + 1 guit (GA)
Thank God for favor and grace. I'm tgting to hit 9 students after SOT to really increase my wealth!
Recently done some reflections on my attitude 2wards my life, work, ministry and I'm so motivated to work even harder with a spirit of excellence!
Its not that bad after all... felt that my capacity is on the stretch...
start of my day with SOT than to SIM and I'll end it off with my various tuition assignments.
What's the key to pull thru? Focus on the rewards, the joy!
Don't keep whining and complaining. I chose this myself and I'm glad.
The joy of the Lord is my strength!
I'm so determined to end of 2009 on a high!
I'm not perfect but I'll keep on keeping on!
Cheers,
PS: Baby, get well soon. I love you precious 27 July Sold my maestroMaestro (2005 - 2009) Best wishes to the new owner. 22 June Medan Harvest ChurchMission Trip to Medan Indonesia (19 - 21 Jun 09)

45 marks for both... so close.
Sighs..looks like i can't graduate by the end of the year le. 2010 in SIM again.
On the bright side, I pass my terror paper - Biz Ethics. Thank God I dun have to touch that module ever again!
Well, what's done can't be overturned. I'll just have to commit the appeal unto the Lord. Maybe I can learn something out of this whole situation.
Final sem is starting in Jul.
Before my sch starts, i'm already packed with eyeball of things to do.
Daily SOT, international idol committee with countless of long and inefficient mtgs, weekly book review, bible reading and now we've got 10 sermons to prepare + preaching test.. SOT exams.. and my upcoming missions trip to Medan in the 3rd wk of Jun!
everyday SOT... miss not going to JW church. haha... not in a bad attitude way la.. but jus tt i need my sabbath! everyday leh.. so xiong. thank God for my season pass. or else have to spend a lot on travelling. But SOT has been gd so far. Homiletics is over. Looking fwd for Pst Kong's Romans and Galations series again.
Inspire camp is the one that i'm looking fwd to.
so far the band and the singers are in gd shape and i'm happy. being less involved in the activities planning also frees me up some how.
it gives me opportunities to play a role of a guide and teacher. personally, i'm in the midst of inviting frens that i've met while playing soccer. targeting a group of sec 2 youths. still cfming with me... really believing God for 25 for this camp!!!
Jiayou @win~!!! 21 May i'm a happy man!God has vindicated! I'm a happy man!
Got my driving license finally after the 2nd attempt.
How do i describe this feeling? "Delayed happiness"
Haha..
But aniwae, its still gd to rejoice!
I'm a happy man at SOT. Having a great time w Pst Kong as he's into the Romans and Galatians series now.
Loving the Bible more and more daily.
Realized my 'depth' for the WOG has increased significantly after coming to SOT.

Njoy!!!
27 April 2 more to go (by afternoon)27th Apr - Advanced Marketing Concepts and Application (ending real soon)
29th Apr - Business Ethics
5 May - Service Quality
in SIM mugging for afternoon's paper.
i'm sooooo looking fwd to the end of my paper.
argh... wed's paper is a KILLER
nobody loves ethics. it is unethical to kill us by making us study ethics.
but i'm gonna remain +ve here.
greater is HE that is in me than he that sets the ethics paper.
Gimme wisdom..
I'm enjoying my CG more. had a great time preaching the Word alive yesterday.
"Bible revial" - committing myself to teach the Bible 1hr before CG and equip the mbrs to love the WOG more.
and true enuff, i made the WOG come alive by throwing so many bible promises and examples during my WORD component in CG.
Praise God..
The living Word - I'm loving it!
25 April she's talentedwas studying and studying until i lost track of the time..
glanced ard and i came upon dear dear's calendar - "24th Apr, 8 mths anniversary"
MAN! I totally 4got abt it!
we went to SAFRA Tampines and tried new things - Bowling!
haha... one of my favorite sports. used to play for PJC sch team but hasn't really practice on a regular basis.
we haven't been doing much sports tgt.. apart from one time of badminton w kel they all.. no more le.
she has this undiscovered talent in sports. she learns fast.
i set her a "80" point target for her first game, no problem.
she set for herself a "100" point target for her 2nd game - 124!
man...she really excel in sports!
after that, we played photo hunt, tried our luck on the grabber machine and even played pool.
once again, she has proven herself to be talented in "ball" games.
easily learn how to shoot, position etc.
gd la.. just like what kelvin will say, "solid la!"
guess this 8 mths has been a ride for us. but its good that things are improving and we're growing healthly as a couple.
looking fwd towards the end of my exams. we yearn to travel overseas again!!!
19 April "Stand up and be counted!"i fell sick on fri.
was having a very bad running nose and caught a flu virus.
saw a doc on sat b4 svc and the medicine is really "eating" me up.
Thank God that during this period, dear dear has oways been there to take care of me.
It was very sweet of her to come over my place and take care of me after her meeting on Sat and did the same on Sun too.
Really felt very loved and blessed to have such a wonderful guardian angel.
Dear dear's the BEST!
I'm recovering soon and hopefully i can be fit enuff to study for thur's paper!
Jiayou win!
Currently taking a SOT study break till the end of Apr. I miss sch.. but got lots of revision to catch up.
I must really do well to cope with all the activities I'm having. I'm praying for a bigger and larger capacity!
"Stand up and be counted!"
I challenged my CG mbrs with this phrase during CG today. After a great Easter celebration, we plunged to an all-time low for CG.
12 mbrs turned up today. I inspired them with Sir Alex Ferguson's recent quote to his players for the Porto away game and they eventually won 0 - 1 and created history to become the 1st English side to win in their Drago stadium.
I believe that you guys can do it. We've got almost 10 potential friends that we can work on. Tgt as an army with one vision, let's all arise and grow the CG. A CG that prys tgt stays tgt! We'll build a CG that's so strong that we'll plunder hell and populate heaven!
Counting on u guys!
14 April DrivingDriving TP
Argh!!!
14/4 - a date to remember.
Since Dec last year, I've been spending big bucks with BBDC trying to get a Class 3C(manual) driving license.
Ask anyone that knows me well and they can tell you that I've got absolutely NO interest in cars.
Fast cars? nah.. not my cup of tea.
I'm just different from my peers. Most ppl chiong driving once they hit 18. After 6 years.. i'm finally attempting it..
However, as I progress on in life, I realise that I can't run away from it anymore.
Its a good skill to have, especially if your other half is on the other end of the island.
Learning how to drive can save me lots of time eventually.
And of course I can serve God in a greater way like fetching Pst etc.
Hehe... no money can also go be taxi driver to 'tan chiak' (*lol.. never! they're reckless pple!!)
After 19 days of break.. I went back to BBDC today to do my first revision drive.
It was a big FLOP!
Man.. it was bad. One of my worst experiences. I guess I lost touch with the long absence.
I mount kerbs.. strike pole (while parking)... engine stall.. vehicle roll-back (on slope).. and my no.1 prob of speeding is back again!
*Pengz.. the feeling is like tmr got final paper and today do mock paper and got a big fat F!
I pray and cross my fingers man..
"God, you must intervene for me tmr! I need a miracle!!!!!"
Pray for me ok? 14.4.09... 2.20pm warm-up. Don't let me catch you jay-walk ard BB area or else I won't hesitate to knock you down! *lol...
SOT
3rd week in 神学院! Finished the super long HS FT2 lessons.
It was really awesome. The last time I had FT2(many yrs back), I was in la-la land. As the BS were lengthy and very deep, I couldn't resist 'switching off' and went through the motion. However this time round, I'm so blessed by the entire series. I apprec the HS more at a whole new level. Experienced great presence, deeper encounters and of cuz my interesting revelations! Pst Bobby's illustrations were great! Enjoyed his simple examples that make understanding so easy. Not forgetting our favorite interpreter - Ariel! She's just a drama mama! She brought the 'zoe life' into our classes with her great sense of humor!
Team 27 was awesome too! Such a great team to be in! Made many friends and I hope to serve them more!
Diana Bryna Cedric Patrick Caylin Michelle Sitong Nick Vin Jenna Brandon Benny Joshua Liangkai Jasmine Yuling Huiwen Jessie Candy
Be blessed! Looking forward for our new GOTP series...
And also.. I'm serving in the muzo team as an acoustic guitarist! Starting this wed! Cool eh? haha.. very excited!!!
Hoping to learn so much more in the next few months!!!
SIM exams
School ended. But exams approaching. Keep me in prys ya?
23rd Apr - Mkting Communications
27th Apr - Advanced Marketing Concepts and Application
29th Apr - Business Ethics
5 May - Service Quality
Honestly, I've got no motivations to start revising. SOT's so fun but sch's not
but still have to la.. muz shine for Christ!
(Tks raymond. Jus got a very encouraging sms from him as I speak)
Thank God for wonderful friends like him in my life! and of cuz not forgetting RSC and all my friends!!
Easter
Praise God! Breakthrough attendance of 46 with 27 friends for Easter!
I'm just so proud of W453. These people shows that they're hungry and desperate for souls!
It works out to be a 1.42 average of friend person which is close to the 1+2 target set for them!
As most of them are pretty young in the Lord, I thought that they did very well!
You guys really stood in the gap man! I'm so proud of you guys!
and did i mention that i got a 'guest-apperance' back into my 1st ministy?
haha.. i went up to sing for choir for S5 as they need manpower. kinda farni..
many things haf changed. the last time i was up on the same platform was i think 4 yrs ago?
haha.. oways gd to serve God no matter where u are!
