What a year of celebration man!

Though tis yr is not as grand as last yr's 21st bdae, but it is so far the most happening yr yet!

Really felt sooooooo appreciated!

haha, (perhaps my love lang is "quality time" and "words of affirmation").

I got a shocked when i checked my email!

I got flooded by tonnes of msgs from friendster!

A click to my account made me realised that I have sooooo many testimonies of well wishes!

Big shocking surprise!

So many blessings.. i'm really touched... lost for words..

its not tt kind of "popular" feeling but its more of "thank God for all these wonderful frens" feeling.

esp all the "older" frens tt rmb me despite not catching up with them..

ppl like May Khoo, Jasmine, Ding Li, Kang Li (called), Keith, Jobi, Meimei, Hui Junn, Ana, Xiuli, Sher, Jerry, Ning n xian,

serene pokie etc.. n oso of cuz the wyz youth camp ppl, my current n ex cg mbrs and my students..

2. Fashion.. fashion and lots of fashion! (nid formal tops for my work. nid some cool jackets/vest/"layering" to match tops)

i nid to brush up on my fashion sense!

3. tops... nice bright tops.. i too dull le.. lots of black, white, plain shirts..haha..

4. apparels.. nice chains, wrist bands, "bling blings"... decorate me man! etc.

5. hmm.. wad else? i alr got 2 pairs of nice shoes. gd enuff!

6. Yes! I nid a bag! Desperately! haha...got a nice one recently but... i still wan!!!

7. dun be greedy la.. but.. i want FOOD!

8. wad else ar? mmm.. i really dunno le. but muz b pratical. dun wan any "decor" items..

got significant value la but not use leh.. hehe.. collect dust only. lol..

many a times we want to be like someone we're not. someone that looks better looking, more eloquent, good in motivating, someone with charisma, someone with great talents, someone successful etc..

but all of us do possess that "X-factor" in us which has the potential (if full grown), to succeed in life and be an asset to the society!

yes, you may not discover that talent that is in you for now but that doesn't mean that you don't have it!

for an example, An artist is not born talented at birth. Since young, he might not be given the opportunity to cultivate his talents. But somewhere down the road, he has this opportunity to draw for some art competition and he won! eventually, with adequate training, it opens the potential that is in him and thru cultivation, he becomes a talent! BUT THE FACT IS THAT IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT THE TALENT IS NOT PRESENT AT THE MOMENT HE WAS BORN JUST BECAUSE YOU CANT SEE IT!

 

You are special as you're uniquely created by someone special up there who knows how many strands of hair you have. He will help you to live your dreams to fulfill your destiny ONLY if you believe! So don't limit yourself ya? No one has ever told you that you cannot, you're not up to it..

Yes, even if there are, it doesn't prove any point. Can someone force you to eat even when you're not hungry? NO! You control your own life and you are RESPONSIBLE for the state of condition you are in today. Don't be childish to blame others for what you are today. Yes, you din't hear wrongly.. i said, don't be childish!!! "But but.. its not my fault that i'm like tt..", "i dun unstd.. if only my parents are... ", "if only i am more talented...", "its not fair... why am i born in this enviroment... look at my fren..", "life is unfair, life sux..."..

ya.. you can go on lamenting all day long but NOTHING's gonna change! Hello, you hear me rite? Nothing is going to change! The fact is the fact, so what are you gonna do abt it? Don't dwell in your pity piety. Act on it! Do something to it!

 

Let me offer you a piece of advice. "Life is unfair, but it is up to you to make it fair". :) Think it thru ya?

 

You CAN be who you want to be if only you choose to put away your old mindset and MOVE ON! Change your thinking, change your lifestyle and start doing things a lil at a time that will lead you to your destiny. There are many self-made millionaires in the world and they din jus inherit the wealth. They work hard one act by the day to acheive success. Success = 1% genius + 99% hardwork. If you're not that smart, praise God! You can focus on the 99%! Stay motivated ya? Have the dream and pursue it ya?

 

Be proud of yourself! Have pride in who you are!

presentation skills. But thank God i got A for Accts.. quite weak in it..

went home and pop up Nick Vujicic's video sermon on my laptop.

wow.. i'm so so so blessed by it!

He said that, "in my weakness, I am the miracle!"

 

Prov 29:18 “When there is no vision, the people persish..”

 

A dream, a vision is something that drives humans to achieve

greater heights in life. Ask every successful man and he will tell

you that it requires constant motivation to propel him to live up

to his dreams and visions in life.

I read this definition about motivation in my course of study. It says:

Motivation is the inner energy of a person or a group to propel one to put in effort(work/intensity) over a period of time to achieve a specific goal.

 

The 4 main key points of motivation:

 

 

·        Independent “strength”

·        Work done

·        Period of time

·        Attain a goal

 

We’re all driven by motivation. When we want to get something done, we will often do actions that will lead to the result we want. Eg. If you were to ask money from your parents to buy something you like, you will want to be at your best that day. You will suddenly change to being very courteous in your speech to please them whenever possible. What is your motive? - it is to get the money that you need. Another eg, If you want to voice out certain issues with a friend, you will want to start of by asking if he/she wants to have a meal or coffee together with you. You will then initiate a small conversation with him/her before leading him/her to the point and address the issue. What is your motive of meeting up for a meal? – it is to create an opportunity to talk out things.

 

Are these examples practical? Yes! Every single action that you do today is back up by a motive! You want to study hard because you want to earn big bucks when you’re out in the working forces. You want to please that girl because you like her. You want to learn a talent because you have interest and it may one day it might help you in your career. We are all motivated by motives whether you like it or not.

Motives might sound “bad” or “not the right word to use” but let’s just say that it’s PERFECTLY NORMAL TO HAVE MOTIVES. What’s bad is when you have ulterior motives. Now that’s when motives become bad. You have lust over this particular person and it makes you want to know that person.  You want to cheat and that’s why you offer to help a friend key in his ATM pin number to withdraw cash.

The fact is that whatever we do, we have our motives. But it is our VALUES that determine what kind of motives we have.

If I love God, I would want to read the Bible, spend more time praying, fast, evangelise ...

My actions are a result of my motive of wanting to know and love God more. Someone once told me that it is perfectly fine to act in a way where you actually want a favor from others because as human beings, we “make use of one another” or “rely/depend on one another”. Whether you like the phrasing or not, both are actually the same. It depends on what your motivation is. If all you want is to retrieve something from somebody and then discard the person, then I feel that it’s a sad thing. But if you are really sincere in building relationship with the person and ask for the person’s help, then it’s perfectly fine.

 

There’s no way we can do something without a motive.

Therefore, choose the right motives in life and use them to motivate yourself to achieve the particular goal that you are working on. It takes time. Just do a little act one small step a day and it will propel to live to your dreams and visions!
