This week has been rather a tiring and busy packed week for me.

Hardly get to sleep for more than 4 hours daily.

This week is my attachment with FHPS. The school booked me before the Mar holidays to ask if I can do a long term teaching but unfortunately I can only commit four days and today is my last day as a teacher for this season. Tmr have to go to SIM for my orientation and the following week is Wk 1 school for me in my DMS course. Well, it has been quite straineous having to discipline students and my patience, love, voice has been kinda affected. Haha.. nah.. not saying that I don't love people anymore but they're really giving me a lot of headache(perhaps no wonder why the previous CT abandon that class and RESIGN!!!) wow.. imagine a CT resign halfway out of nothing and abandon the class. how stress could it be. Had some fun, nah.. not really.. still miss teaching the older students and doing what I'm best in doing with my motivational life challenging talks i give to students. In this primary school, the teacher stays in the class for the whole day! Whatever you have, English Maths Science PE Health Ed Social Studies all BKL. And it explains why my voice... argh.. bie ti le :S  but i'm still happy :D *hehe.. makes me think of Cindy Koh with her favourite question: "Are you still happy?"
It might sound so cliche but isn't it true that we need to constantly ask ourselves if we're happy with the things that we do and not becoming a routine and get sick of it. Yes, I am happy and I would still love to teach if given the opportunity one day.

 

This week, with the Angel's assistance, I am meeting every single of my member from my sub group to fellowship with them. Really wanna challenge them to start having a vision all over again and to get prepared for a mighty harvest during Easter which is next wk!!! Time flies.. after A lvs.. NS.. now apr..SIM. My group from a small (sam lava zx yt gil nest jam dom win) grp to a larger grp of (gel jam(bs) gil yt sj kar dom(bs) qy zx win), our unity, energy and many things have fallen le. Really need to have a breakthru in that area.. *Father!!! Eli eli lama...

Easter productions - Yes! It my privilege and honor to be part of this team all over again. My first few involvements with DM was during 2002 when I acted as a demoniac for Easter 2002 and Mid autumn's love as a postman. Due to unforseen circumstances like commitments, I have to give up 2 ministries and focus on choir.
By God's grace, Jaslynn invited me to act during the Emerge talentime auditions. Sandy flew back this wk and she also asked me to consider coming back to DM as a 2nd min. Yes, I'm very tempted to do so and thank God for this opportunity. At the beginning of the year, I made a goal to be join a 2nd art ministry (BV, guitar, dm) and it is coming true! PTL!

Was so happy that I'm given extra scenes to do and increase my role.. haha(shall not comment much, industry secret)

mon wed fri sun rehearsals this week.

 

I was deeply impacted during tue's 5-fold ministry with on the lesson of Apostleship. Wow.. it blew my mind on how I need to come back humbly as a servant again to love Him all over again. And also that God can use a Plan B to become Plan A. The Bible speaks about the "12th disciple" whom they have choose to replace Judas and Matthias was selected because he was always available. Man, I really need to reflect on some attitudes. Even as a leader, sometimes I'll tend to question my leaders when in doubt and its time to change :) Though I'm not exactly a Plan B as I do have talents to a certain extent but I'll tend to back-off especially in doing great things as I tend to feel that I'm not worthy. But as I reflected how God has open many doors for me like even giving me the opprtunity to be playing for WYZ as a newbie, I'm really indebted to the grace of God man! Time for me to fight on and perservere and push myself to greater heights! Believing for a great Apr ahead! a new month with a new school, a new cg(hopefully), a new role(easter), new surprises and new commitments.

Let's end of Mar with a big bang!!!!

Guitar For SALE!!! (URGENT)

Sad to say.. but my time's up to impact tis wonderful school

A big thanks to all the staffs and students for making my stay a memorable one.

Special thanks to a group of people: Mdm Sarah and Siti, Mr Mohan and JJ, Mr Thomas for being so heartwarming towards me.

Not forgetting this special group of people - 4T1.

This is the class that has caught my attention.

Not the best class in the school but one of the best in terms of manners, respect, friendliness etc.

Perhaps its becuz their form teacher is a regular to the doctors *ops.. so bad leh..

tt's y i got more chance to mingle w them more.

I din manage to go back today but yest was my last.

Chung came all the way to my place to pass me a card that the students made to thank me.

It has lots of signatures, well wishes, glitters saying "We miss you"

took me quite sometime to finally decide to sign up for tis competition w the support frm my ldrs and frens..

haha..

i'm a little vain but not so vain to take part in the manhunt.

this is a new competition for emerge so haf decided to try it out.

For emerge tis yr, i took part in:

1) Talentime - Songwriting
2) Manhunt

3) Captain's ball (SIM) - tertiary

4) Bowling - open

hehe...tt's a lot for a first timer.

For the past few yrs of emerge, i was too shy to join anything..

but now since i'm more freed up and much older, why not?

haahaa..

 

The Manhunt competition was kinda fun..

Went to riverwalk in sleeveless and board shorts + slippers..

Beach wear to be exact =)

it was freee..zing cold la!

went into tis room w 4 judges*like A.I. style)

We have to do a catwalk and a 1min speech to intro ourselves.

I was quite confident though my "holy leg" was shaking a bit..

haha..

but i think i did quite alright la..

enuff to go to the next round..

the female category was more challenging. Ratio of men to women is like 1:10 la..

but some of the ladies are really.. gd!

hehe...

let's hope for his grace to be upon me!!!

on thurs, i was down at East Coast Park w JVS 4T1

Jasmine n Iskandar invited me to their class outing/ovrnite.

Kinda cool.. though majority are malays but still had an opportunity to tok n share w em.

 

Today was our big day! WYZ Youth Edition!

By His Grace, I got the opportunity to share bout my life transformation testimony w the crowd.

Thank-you, u've changed my life!

1st time working w tis new zone for big day..

everything was smooth.

i was asked to backup as security. haha... guard pst leh.. so cool to sit front of house.

hehe.. but i truly enjoyed myself!

really think tt tis batch of frens are potential.

really gonna integrate em personally.

but.. the sad thing =(  its gonna end soon..

Last time wen i got trf over to WYZ from CL and JO, tot that now the zone's big, wun get my fair share in pecking order, but Praise God for such opportunities...

Last day of school

*actually wrote this blog days ago.. but accidentally deleted off w/o saving it!

argh...

 

Well, it was probably one of the most happening days of my life!
Was invited by Iskandar(my neighbour, JVS-4T1) for JVS sports day at Bt Gombak Stad.

I overslept a little but still went ahead..

 

No pay.. it is jus voluteer service.. actually i was there b4, 2005 at clementi stadium when I was doing my relief w JVS

But tis time round completely different results!

 

As usual, when I step out of the MRT till entering the stadium, eyes were popping out at me
and the usual "eh eh.. mr ong!" is back.

I went ahead to join Is's house.. "Yellow lightning house"!

2 yrs back I was w Neptune(Red) but now change my aligence!

haha..actually received a sms frm karen(my cgm) tt her sister(oso frm jvs) request me to go back n support the now "Red fire house"

but..*bleah... i move on!!!

The house mistress was Mdm Bala.. not too energetic and the hse cap is Jasmine(mix chinese thai) and vice is Is both frm 4T1.

We were sitted at the extreme corner.

 

Well.. since i'm here to offer my services, why don't I jus help cheer lead? Can make a difference ma.. Initiate man!
My background from Camp HA shouldn't have grow rusty so fast so i've decided to do it neverthelessly..

my first words were... "Lightning oooeei!"

and immediately, a roar of "OEI!!!!"

*shiok ar!!! lol..

immediately they knew that i am the one! hehe.. (privilege..)
so Mr ong does haf talents in this area..

we cheered, did our 1, 2, 11 claps, sexy claps, macho claps and we had so much fun.

Thank God for the loud hailer or else I'll go dumb! Haha.

was kinda pek chek initially cuz Jasmine and gang went to prac their dance item and i'm all ALONE to rara the grp!

no voice liaoz la.. n no one to help..

so kinda sian diao n rested aside..

but slowly, I mingled w the students, spoke w the few chinese bois from 4T1.

 

This time round, more teachers took notice of me, some even approached me to start a friendly conversation.

According to them, they were surprised by me and some were even asking, "who's tt young chap? is he a ex student or a teacher" (cuz they seldom see me ard. i hardly go to the staff room)

haha..accrdg to wad i hear, they're impress. Mdm Bala even say that i'm an asset if i join the staff team! heehee..

din noe tt i haf fans in the staff rm too! (tot only my crazy students)

had a chance to talk to the VP(Mr Thomas) too and he commended that i am always welcome to do RT during my Uni holidays. I was really flattered. n of cuz it made my day!!! He even encouraged me to go NIE and that I'll make a good PE teacher. *raise eyebrows.. maybe ar?

 

Lighning house is not those veeerryy garang kind.. dun haf much potential no.1s ard so a little difficult to aim for overall hse champ.

the only chance left was the cheer competition.

I was given the opportunity to head the team and we did our thing infront of the guest and judges. Nervous.. definitely but.. pray lor..

hahaa... n guess wad? was praying n praying to God tt tis is the only chance to shine for Him, at least, leave a legacy b4 i leave the school.

n.... 1st in cheerleading!!!!

hurray.. make every of my lost voice count!

i cant stand noise!!!

They complain, complain and complain!!!

The 3 standard things tt they come to me:

1. cher.. can go toilet?

2. cher.. can go locker?

3. cher... that boy disturb me/take my things/say i stupid etc..

 

every sec!!!! imagine the whole time coming to me? cant even complete my sentence another student come le..

i have to scream n shout to contain them!!!!

i need more long suffering..

argh..

worse still, der's fire drill today. gotta really contain them.

 

but some are cute.

they had their class test today n managed to snap some shots.

Went to ikea with lava today.  wanted to buy some stuff to refurnish my room but ended up eating a lot at the cafe on lv 2.

ya, they've got nice meatballs but not only tt, we got spags, salmon, curry chicken + rice, potatoes, chicken wings, hotdogs and so many many fd! $30.10 on 2 pple! That's SIN with a capital "S"!

haha..

in the end din manage to finish up the fd an its wasted. so lang fei..

but it was a gd time of fellowship la..

bought a magnetic board for me to put my motivations n a candle holder!!

Service at Expo..

Met some special guest today

A grp of 20+ hong kongers came to visit our church today fer svc

Guess they're probably the ldrs frm their church.

And they're sitting behind my row.

I dunno why.. maybe its the HS but i felt this strong urge to go the xtra mile to befriend them

and be a good host. Perhaps I was deeply inspired by Pst's msg on how CHC has been an example

for churches worldwide to follow.

I began to talk to them with my broken cantonese.

They were very nice pple, friendly and I felt so welcome by them too..

I went to the recep to enquire bout their headset too..

 

but the amazing thing is that after the svc, the young lady tt was sitting behind me was touched by my

actions. *cries.. i was surprised too..

cuz i'm not that kind of person that like to go the xtra mile..

i'm usually those "mind my own business" person..

perhaps really convicted bah..

n u noe wad she did?

she prayed for me!

n even laid hands on me man!

cool! i can feel the anointing la..

cool cool cool! haha..

 

Well, tt's the reward for gg the xtra mile! ;) be a philantropist!

from thurs 6am to sat 6am. serious..

haha..big acheivement..

thou the rest fasted 3 days, but i'm v proud of myself

haha..many times i omost quit n succumb to temptation

but thank God i fought a gd fight of faith..

jus met bee leng for breakfast.. n we break fast tgt..

its like FINALLY..haha..but cant eat tt much too..

stomach a bit weak le.. jus like brunei days..

ahha...

1997 till now.. "Frugality and Honesty" school motto..

the school renovated and changed so much. I only remembered 3 teachers and the rest of them are changed!

except for the drink stall n book stall auntie.. the rest, stranger.

Quite cool.. school changed till very modern. there's even a lift!

those days.. haha..was full of tricks n mischief..

n those were the days were i suffered from self-depression,

always alone during recess at the back doing "self-meditation"

and playing w my pet rabbit.

lol..memories..

now, the field's gone, smaller area, newer places.

still quite cool.
