December 31 crossing over into the new year..Reflections of 2006
The year is 2006. Perhaps till date, the most memorable and "happening" year for me. It marks a change in my life.
A year full of challenges and growth. New friendships, new responsibilities, new visions, new standards.
This year is indeed a very tough one for me.
Feb 1:1>>
Started attending LTC or HCGL bible study not knowing that Sharon wants me to be the next in line.
Only during the interview with Pst Yock Kiang did I realise that after this BS, I'll most probably be a CGL. I was stunned! You could have imagined my reactions at that time.
Still rmb for my very first bs.. i was SOOO early, 2 hrs at least but i ended up becoming a SOTONG!
Went to jurong chc instead of YMCA! In the end the church called me up and I have to rush a cab down..! So funny la.
Had the privilege to play for the class as the guitarist and that's where I met Guo Fu! A tremendous P&W leader frm chinese dept
who's from SOT. Met nice people too.. like Grace, Kimberly, Jasmine, Charles, Sutiean.. wow.. such an eye opener!
All of them are the up and coming leaders of the church!
Pst Derek was our main preacher. Sometimes Pst Zhuang and Aries came in to stand in.. But the best was the last lesson..
Pst Aries laid hands on all of us and we really got ministered! Its definitely a privilege to be God's leader!

Nightmare! NS commitments started to snowball..
NDP rehearsals... every sat. Have to miss cg.. miss so many things man!
Felt so away from the cg but the mbrs were nice..
then came SAF DAY rehearsals..
and after EVERYTHING, thinking that i can finally go back to cg..
there's brunei and taiwan and I only got back to cg proper after SEP! Imagine that?
haha.. but it was good.. God honored my persistence!

Started attended zone mtg.. and only at the 2nd mtg, Charmaine announced the dreadful news that will change my life from there after.
My cg with suzy's and olivia's will be transferred out!! OMG.. i was like.. "uh..i'm new here only".
Everyone was tearing at the last CL ldrs mtg esp Sharon cuz of her frenship with Charmaine but I'm so lost..

In came the new zone.. JO- Joanne Lim's zone.
A big change for me.. A zone with adults being the majority. A zone that's on Sat.
New styles of doing things.. totally different from where I came from.
Got opportunities.. to play for the ldrs mtg.. to play for JO and JS combined mtg.. to teach guitar to JO's guitarist..
to organize outings.. to do many many things which I think was impossible! I've learnt to love Joanne, a lovely mother of a beautiful boy - Denzal.
Lovely experience there..
During the mid yr 1:5>>
Guo fu introduced me to his Chinese church side.
Met a very respectable man - Joseph Ang! My hero.. Really admire and appreciate him. There after, I've been helping the
chinese cgs to play weekly for cg mtgs. Why go there? cuz I love to learn from Joseph..
Met wonderful pple from SOT.. Yan fei, Shi zong, Yvonne, Hui yun etc..
My relationship with them grew and I really love them! They're so accepting to me too.. I felt so LOVED! haha..
I've been requested to appear as a guest for their big days too!
Joseph.. U're indeed a man of God! He even asked me to go over to his side to "sign-on" w him to help him! lol..

but as time passes.. complications happened.. my attitude was put to a test.
Did something which was irresponsible and as such, I have to step down from ldrs mtg.
Wow.. I tell you..it was the toughest month of my life! I almost threw in the towel!
Having to fight with my pride and so many struggles.. but I've found a new friend in Sharon!
She was with me throughout the tough times being there to help me. And Charmaine was there too to give me good
advices for my future.
I handed in a transfer request, wanting to change zone to move to a male leader, to learn more from him..
Initially was posted to JS- Jimmy Sng zone(Joanne's husband) but I was quite uncomfortable cuz all adults.

One of the best month's ever! Ended the year so well. I know where I was going and I'm happy with it.
I'll be staying on with the cg under WYZ - Pst Wu Yu Zhuang's zone. He's definitely a great man of God to be under! Hope to meet him soon and join his team in serving God!
Wow.. we ended the cg so well w a big bang! 45,333 for our Expo record-breaking Christmas attendance!
and the exciting thing is.. we have 31 frens frm our cg! Record-high too! so many great things happening man!
Prior to that, we have so many fun activities like "Can you find me?" at WCP organized by our very own helpers.
With JO's zone, we haf "Battle of Armageddeon" at ECP where we were so close to win it.
There's oso chalet @Coasta Sands (Snake and ladder) and we really had so much fun!
The mbrs from our cg grew so much as i reflect back on their lives.
We have yunting, rosalyn, lavendran which grew so much and they're becoming to be more opened to everybody!
Hopefully they can catch the fire and be the next ldrs of the generation!
We ended the cg with a great tnxgiving and I've received so many presents!

tnxgivingIts a day of tnxgiving todae! Had W146 tnxgiving and my last CL tnxgiving.
It was great! For our cg..its kinda rush.. last min decided to add on prize presentations for our cg but it was still gd..
sharon managed to make all the awards within a day! *claps..
she spent the whole of yest gg IKEA to buy the awards and make them, while the 3 grp ldrs rehearse our scripts for our tnxgiving..
its exactly like our ex CL zone tnxgiving... giving the same kind of awards and we took turns to read our the awards..

awards tis yr cuz its closed to CGL and PCGL.. hee... but sharon, THANKS ONCE MORE!!!! Its my honor to serve u all!

n later in the nite... its a drm come true! i played the acoustic with the CL band!
finally... perhaps it might be my last time playing in the near future cuz WYZ zone is soooo big!
The feeling's good! We played "We give you our praise", "Great is our God", "Time has come" and "First"
Really feels different to play as a band.
Charmaine then had a short word with us. She shared with us how 2006 has been for her.
She ended her rship with Raj, gave away some cgs and there has been a major reshuffle in her zone. She's also
quite sick too having to struggle with her studies and work at the same time. But i really admire her peseverance.
That strong fighting spirit in her is really...*no words can describe man! She's such a fighter for God.
She taught us on how sometimes God will do lots of reshuffle in our lives just to make us grow.
Well, it applies so much to me.. the changes that i've been going thru.
Aniwae.. i really miss CL zone. The zone that i've grew under since 1999 under the great leadership of Charmaine Lun!

December 22 2 more days to Ho ho ho!Its coming....! CHRISTmas! Obviously JESUS is the REASON for the SEASON. Tis christmas would have been better if i accepted e deal to sing at Chijmes dressed as santa but well.. deal was called off.. Unreasonable boss tt has a bad reputation of under-paying n late payment to his pt staff.. Wasted.. Still tot tt it would b a gd chance to revive E-Z again but he din wan to hire us cuz i'm asking for too much. Well.. Forget it den.. Haha., in e end he approached me again for tonight's gig but i ignore him completely. I'm not a substitute k? Don't come n approach me wen u need pple desperately. I have my own commercial value! Haha.. Enough said.. Its gonna be another busy but exciting wkend.. 5svcs at Expo.. So far my cg has quite a lot of confirmed frens- record high. Hope they'll not just come but stay w us n end e yr well! Next yr's gonna be a challenging yr for me.. Looking fwd? Hmmm.. Yes and no.. Cuz my future's so BIG and VAGUE for me. Time to leave and cleave.. To train myself up n see myself as a mature adult taking care of a grp of youth's lives. Tough ar? More to come i tell u.. Wen dreams becomes a reality, it sinks in! And its scary at times but tis is wen u need faith ya? Ok.. I'll update more after christmas again.

chaletJust got back today from my cell's chalet. W146's first chalet.. 13-15 Dec.
Took 2 days leave for it. Had it at Pasir Ris Coasta Sands. Rather small place though..
Aniwae, 1st nite had ldrship files.. Sharon taught on greatness.. It inspired all of us.. Hopefully the new potential leaders
will catch it and pick up the baton to grow the new generation which is in line to wad Pst Tan has preached last wk.
2nd day was the main highlight.. weather wasnt gd. raind when we've already set up on our games - "Snake & ladder"
so we played it indoor. it was really fun. guess the mbrs njoy it a lot. and for cg, short and sweet.
gd la.. hope the mbrs will really learn much n step out of the chalet a different person.
ting took a lot of photos for the chalet.. will upload again when i've received them again ya?
Christmas season is coming... haha.. tis yr a bit broke to buy any gifts due to bldg fund. but i'm still gg to blief God for
more blessings! Yeah.. gg to end the yr on a high!

Mbrs had fun running over the whole place and as leaders, we njoyed too!

to charmaine.. for being so available to do a 1st class job w the admin! so wonderfully done and organized.. spent countless nites on doing the planning and the gscards!
to angel.. for ur unlimited creative juices.. for oways being available to do things.. u just prove that age isnt a factor to maturity! cont to learn and grow ya? jiayou!
and to jodie.. for being there when i'm not ard.. to help organize everything and oso availing urself w the entire projects..

1st nite leadership files.. 2nd day.. games, cgm, nite bbq etc.. 3rd day pack up..
jus had a mtg today and wow! really a lot of exciting progs coming up man! haha.. i officially only on leave on the 14th.. hmm... *lol
Today sharon announed the news to the ldrs la! lol.. so farni.. they were like stunned! i'm like relieved that finally they noe.. cant hide tis ever longer..well, more complications now.. maybe, i mite go over to a different family den the initial projected one! haha..but gd too la, more variety to choose frm! really looking fwd to end the yr on a high! so many changes n transition in jus a short span.. BUT GOD is a GOOD GOD!
congrats lava n suijin on being water baptised today, n sher too! =)
