October 31 life of choicesOur life is full of choices:
The choices we make today will determine the person we're going to be tomorrow
From the very moment we wake up, we choose whether to off our alarm clock and continue sleeping or to get up.
We decide on what clothings to put on, shirt, dress, skirt, jeans, accessories etc.
We choose what bus to take. Whether to wait for the other bus which is much faster but long waiting time or take another bus which we need to transit.
Small or big.. our life is full of many many choices!
Don't regret when you've made a wrong choice. Nothing happens without a reason. I always believe that even if we make a mistake in life, we can still learn from it.
Nothing happens coincidental. My failures can be a stepping block for my success and it can also be used as an example to others on how far we've grown. No weakness, no growth!
This is your life. One life, live it well ya? Never say this, "sian ar.. bo bian", "i din want to come but no choice" etc..
HEY! Wake up, stop sulking like a baby! You choose to be where you want, what you do and you can only yourself to blamed if things do not happen accroding to plan
Let us learn to appreciate life ya? Enjoy every single day. Make our decisions and do not regret abt it. Even if we've made a wrong choice, we can still learn from it :)
So dear frens, you've got only one life, live it well,
Cheers,

October 25 PaSsiOn vs PoSiTiOnHave you ever got forced to do something which you really dislike and you don’t have any control at all? All you could do is to grumble, sulk and complain. But as time flies, you actually realized that it was beneficial and come to think about it, you appreciate the person. I guess most of you could relate to that.
Bring it closer to home, At the age of 7, I have to go through the agony as the only child to have a week extremely packed with loads of activities like Hanyu pingying , abacus, speech & drama, organ/piano, swimming, art classes. I really hated my parents back then for robbing my childhood. Worst of all was my piano class. I started learning organ at K1 and completed the course. Then at P1, I picked up piano class and completed my Grade 7 by P6. Sadly, I didn’t complete my Grade 8 as I was highly critical of continuing my lessons. I wanted the “freedom” to make the decision for my own life when I turned 12. I never had the passion to learn music. Learning music to me was a chore. I had to practice the piano everyday for 2 hrs! I despised it very much but didn’t have much choice.
Today, my guitar accomplishments are greatly attributed to my music background from learning piano. No one really taught me how to love music and play guitar. At the age of 15, I began to observe how different musicians play and developed my own style of playing. From playing in cgs to pry mtgs to bs to funerals to zone mtgs to ldrs mtg to big days to leading P&W, all these could never have been possible without my parents’ persistence of wanting me to learn piano when I was young.
Passion vs Position
All of us want to do what we enjoy doing. We know that as long as we enjoy doing what we’re doing, we will prosper. Yes, it is a good thing. Having being taught of things like “making your job your ministry”, “you get paid for doing what you like” is always good. BUT, this can also act as a hindrance for us to move on. It becomes an excuse to resist God from shaping and molding us and continuing to stay in our own comfort zone.
In Matt 12, God made a promise to Abram 1 Now the LORD had said to Abram: 2 I will make you a great nation; 3 I will bless those who bless you, The exciting news is not just the wonderful rewards assured in v2-3 but it is in v4 where Abram obeyed God 4 So Abram departed as the LORD had spoken to him..
Abraham was who he is because he allowed God to position him despite not having passion of the unknown. He never knew what God had installed for him. To leave his possessions and enter into a strange land is definitely a big sacrifice to him but he obeyed unconditionally. Sometimes we are just so resistive in our lives. We are so closed-up to changes. We need to learn to be more open and accept change and believe and trust that God has a destiny for us. You may not understand. “Why me?” “I don’t have any interest at all” “Sorry, I’m not interested” I never like sales. Till today, I’ll “siam” sales people when I bum onto them. Ironically, God has placed great friends in my life to bring me into Prudential. Haha… yes, I was shocked too. I accepted the challenge. I never know what breakthrough He wants me to have until I try. Many friends have questioned my decision, “Edwin, you’re so talented. You can act, sing, and play music. Why don’t you pursue your passion and forget about this job? You’ve failed your test for so many times. Maybe its really not for you.” Passion Vs Position: Give yourself a chance to put aside your passion and allow God to use others to position you ya? Don’t be too quick to object opportunities. I hope that this has been a blessing to you, October 23 NEW jobsGod is gooood...

-@win (LIVE BLOG @Cityhall) October 14 thankiewThis week hasn’t been the easiest week for me. I was kinda feeling down and tired. Mayb cuz of stress, mayb cuz of discouragement, mayb cuz I was tired. But whatever the reason is, i’m glad that I paused. Sometimes its juz good to catch a breather, stop what u’re doing, take e back seat and reflect. Someone once told me that the worst kind of deception is “self-deception” So wad’s the use of faking happy when you know that your life’s not moving forward? Its ok to be true to your feelings. Didn’t Jesus wept too(my prev entry) But I’m glad that it ended of well =)
I would like to thank a few group of pple who kept me hanging on. Cindys, Bee, Lynn, Sharon.. for always being a great friend to me that never fails to encourage me. You really made “iron sharpens iron” so real in my life! Looking forward to grow more w all of ya!
Wenlisa - who never fails to encourage me. Seeing me being so down in SIM would be a shocker for most as they will seldom see this side of me but you’ve were always there with your endless concerns. And to Weijian… having a peer in school is always so much easier. You’re oways so unstding. Whenever I share w u my burdens w my cg, u’ve been the most patient person to oways want to learn more things from me. U’re indeed a true friend =) Cont to stay hungree for the Lord ya?
And lastly to my dearest and most beloved W453! You guys are simply awesome! Wad a way to end of our week w "JURONG EATS"! It rox rite? Chiong-ing food from one place to another in the rain.. Munching down all your mee goreng, ice-cream etc.. Maybe we can plan for a PART II! We can call it Bedok Eats! Lol… A great thankiew to all of you who stood in the gap to make the entire outing successful! All ur prayers and fastings were not wasted *indeed(gary’s fav line) Thanks for inviting your frens, played the game w great spirit and also ran tgt w the CG’s vision! Let’s continue to bring our CG to a brand new level amen?
Now the best for the last.. I would like to extend my appreciation to these 3 ppl: Angel, Rosalyn and Gary These 3 young warriors have braved the storm and help to organize a brand new concept of Jurong Eats. Almost all of them are inexperienced w outing planning.. They really risk themselves and lay their heads on the chopping board! Serious! Ask anyone of them how I can ARGHHHH at them… *haha, shall not share more.. Censored, not later my image all gone. ;p But aniwae, they’ve really been so helpful especially this week! They plan the outing, the games, the ideas, the admin, the logistics etc… Brave the storm tgt w me and they’re truly great helpers w a heart of a servant. They never knew the meaning of “limit” and “impossible”. Under my strong belief of “leaders make things happen”, they really stretched themselves to greater heights.. Many a times they almost want to give up but they’ll juz stand by one another, holding onto one another hand-in-hand. Jus like how I “tortured” them at the tracks few weeks back, they literally learnt determination and never-say-die spirit the hard way. Keep on keeping on ya? I’m jus so honored to be your CGL and my thousand apologies for being the toughest leader to serve under. But God is good ya?
Thank-you God for Your love and embrace.. Tis is my spiritual diary to You.. I love You more than words can say. Your firm embrace has never let me go. You are emmanuel, God with us And once again I just want to love You with all my spirit, soul and body! I am blessed..
Stay happy always, Be constantly motivated For the Lord knows the deepest cries of our hearts,

October 12 Jesus weptJesus Wept John 11:35
“Feelings aren’t important.” “Emotions get in the way.” “Don’t trust your feelings.” “Don’t feel sad.” “Real men don’t cry.” “Just trust God.”
Have you ever heard such advice before? I suspect you have because many believers have a serious misunderstanding about the Christian life. They think Christians should live stoic lives and never express strong emotions. Yet, the Bible describes more than 20 different emotions that Jesus felt. If Christ is our model of perfect spiritual and emotional maturity, then we should take a look at a few of Jesus’ emotions:
(1) Compassion: Jesus fed the multitude because they hadn’t eaten for three days and He had “compassion on these people” (Matt. 15:32). He also healed the two blind men by the roadside out of compassion (20:34). As a compassionate person, Jesus was profoundly moved by the sufferings and troubles of those He encountered.
(2) Love: If compassion characterizes Jesus’ feelings toward the multitudes, then love epitomizes His relationships with those closest to Him. When Lazarus laid dying, Martha and Mary sent this word to Jesus: “Lord, he whom you love is sick.” Then John records, “Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus” (John 11:3-5). Jesus didn’t try to be less than human by shielding Himself from love and affection.
(3) Joy: One time, following Jesus’ prediction of His betrayal, He said, “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full” (15:11).
(4) Grief and sorrow: John 11:35 is the shortest verse in the Bible. It reveals a Savior who could feel pain for those He loved. Jesus didn’t try, as we sometimes do in times of sorrow, to be outwardly “strong” and hide or deny His feelings. Through His tears, Jesus showed He had the strength to care enough to weep.
(5) Anger: Perhaps the best-known expression of His anger was when He drove the moneychangers out of the temple. To those who sold doves, Jesus rebuked, “Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!” (2:16). Like Christ, mature Christians will experience angry feelings. But those feelings must be stimulated by a love and concern for others and for righteousness, rather than by the frustration of our own desires.
(6) Peace: As Jesus prepared to leave His disciples in death, He told them, “Indeed the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (16:32-33).
Jesus displayed Spirit-controlled emotions freely. Take responsibility for your feelings. No one makes you feel any particular emotion—positive or negative. You choose to feel the way you feel. So, express those feelings constructively so that in every emotion, God is glorified.

October 01 blood donationwhee!
Yest was one of the exciting days of my life!
i gave my blood AGAIN!!!
After a much horrified experience where I actually fainted aft giving my blood the first time,
i've decided to overcome my all-time fear of needles to give AGAIN!
woo hoo!
I felt like a champ man!
but of cuz i've got wonderful frens tt made me a champ!!!
the queue was sssuuuupppeeeerrrr long at Expo! Man, i almost had to wait like 3-4 hrs cuz I didn't queue early to get my number.
when i arrive there, i got a "481"! its disastrous as the current number at that moment was less like 20 only! The queue was so freaky...
As if there's free food like that! But then now the ironic thing is that everyone's rushing to GIVE BLOOD!
haha... gd sign la.. shows that men are not so selfish after all
i was kinda sad and discouraged as unlike the first time where sharon, lynn, cindy, linh, my mum etc were there to support,
tis time i doubt anyone will stay back as it will be very late when my turn comes. All my members will have to go as their exams are round the corner. Sharon and gang gg to ecp to cycle as usual and i'll be all alone
BUT GOD saved the day! I told him tt if really no one to pei me, i'll just leave and dun donate le.
I met SERENE POK! (she specifically instructed me to mention her, lol)
She's so nice la. She gave me her mbr's queue number and suddenly i became 313! woo hoo!
I was instantly going into the room for checkup!
So siew peng was there, serene was there and we queued tgt!
so we did some cam whoring and we teased one another. coincidentally, its our 2nd time for all 3 of us!
haha..
so i went for the checkup as usual, did the blood test and there i am at the bed getting ready to ooosh out my blood!
My darling angels came to cheer me up. CC and ros was there. Ros really was there to be my body guard la.. haha.. she's so afraid tt i'll faint. Really served me well! Tks!!!
Yuzhen came in wanting to scare me! *haha..yes yuzhen.. the notti one. oways say my bdae is on the 27th! lol..she came n told cindy tt i was in pain.. blah blah ..haha, but to be fair, she did come to support me la.. tt's just her(its natural)
