Delivery man

Yesterday was really a tough day.
Went to help Kel to do some delivery for his company.
Man, I have to drive a huge monster truck!
I'm not even 1-year experience as a Class 3 driver yet and I have to mount onto this vehicle to manoeuvre it across the island.
Travelled my all-time high record of 120km in a day!
Went from Bugis - Ubi (Eunos) - Woodlands - Joo Koon (Tuas) - Clementi - Bugis.
You name it, i've been there. North - south - east - west.
Being comfortable with fast and automated cars,
this monster was a complete irony.
It has a manual 5 gear with a redundant gear 1.
I literally skipped gear 1 and move off on gear 2.
It can go up to a max of 80km/h with max load in the back compartment.
The initial orientation was nervous but however once I'm acoustomed to it, i hit top speed and forgot that I'm a truck driver!
Went onto the middle and right lanes and overtake every fellow truck driver! haha...
Its pickup is rather slow with the load.
I have to lower the gear for a stronger power.
At times, the vehicle will back-roll down a gradual slope and I have to engage my half clutch, hand brake method.
wow! it was really a test to my recall of my basic driving skills.
Worked for almost 9 hours and I was so car-sick!
Being stuck in a confined space and breathing the diesel soot, my head was giving me problems.
Have to pop in panadols to kill the pain.
But I'm glad that it was a great experience for me.
Haha.. i've conquered all cars.. my next one will be a sports car!!! Ferrari? lol..
Ok.. I'm going to a 3D 2N Camp now.

i'm looking at either a hyundai avante, kia cerato koup *NEW, kia cerato forte (unlikely)

LIVE: From SIM Library

One down. Two more (toughest) papers to go.
Today's SSCS was relatively ok.
Was hearing Joyce Meyer's Podcast on my way to sch.
She mentioned that we should not be settling for status quo.
Say no to being average!
We serve an excellent God.

I really wish to apply this towards my attitude of studies.
Sometimes, its so hard to keep what you preach.
I really need to tweak the way I study and aim high.
Life is full of uncompleted task and undaunted challenges.
But the good news is: everytime you fulfill them and see yourself change for the better, you feel like a champion!
Let's hope that I'll enjoy my O-leve studying daze again..ops.. i mean days =)

Looking forward to the month of November.
Although no more jobs (tuition), i look forward for the chalet plannings, st john plannings, bible-studies, visitations..
so much things that i wish to do... do i have the energy to sustain it? lol..

some of my mbrs visited me yesterday.
wrote me a card.. funny... rachel spelt 加油 as the other way round. '口力' so cute rite?
sometimes when i see this bunch of people, i really dunno whether to cry or laugh.
they can be so cute at times but so fuming mad at times.
well.. that's my life as their cell group leader, for now.
i really hope that they can buckle their belt, thicken their skin and advance forward to become my friends.
sometimes i really unstd how God feels when He says that He's knocking at our doors to want to fellowship with us.
I hope they see the countless hints I've given.
Afterall, CGLs are human who needs friends when they're disappointed and needs love and attention.
Well. flocks being flocks need a shepherd.
Maybe I should just lower my expectations.

Oh... and lastly before I sign out..
I want to say that this Sat will be one of my craziest and unimmaginative days of my life!
on my face book tag box says that 'I'll going to commit a distasteful adultery'
what many don't know is that I'll wear a liverpool shirt because Man U lost 2-0 to them.
I have to keep my word to my mbr mervin and friends and also to rayvin.
sighs... i'll make sure they wear a man u jersey the next time round when they visit Old Trafford.

Movie Review: Julie & Julia

Hi fans,

It has been a loong looooong time since i last blogged.
and it has been a llooooonnnnngggggggeeeeeeeeerrrrrr time since i last did a movie review.
haha... is anyone out there reading my blog? (*inspired by the movie)

it was a different fri yest. Both baby n myself went to rayvin's CG to help him take his wonderful ppl while he's enjoying life in Medan (haha...)
it was a great CG. And I must say that Baby is AWESOME!
now i know why her CG grew so fast. God has secrectly placed a gem beside me that has so much power yet to be unveiled.
from breaking ice to games to praise.. she manage to bring out the live-liness of the pple. She engaged them so well and she's just so fun-loving.
if i'm the mbrs seated there, i'll simply love her and want to come back every week. and that explains why she multiplied her CG so 'abundantly'.
must be the 'ra-ra' ness la. i must get my CG to increase their decibel level!
i'm impress... salutes. muz really 'cope' more anointing and skills from her.
dear dear... u're my hero-ine. i wan to be like you!
it has been an absolute privilege to co-lead with her!!!!
i always tell her this: 'i'm quite stingy in my praise. if i really praise.. it means you're reallly good that i must praise'

well...we went to JP to catch this show.
Here's a tip for all you movie lovers out there:
Watch at any Cathay cineplex on every Mon & Thurs. Pay by Nets for only $6!
But of cuz.. you can always do a HSBC prepaid card for just $75 and enjoy a string of movies and you won't feel a single pinch.
I'm blessed to have sponsors for my card. Thankiew Lord! lol...

After watching this show, i've got only one word to describe: Heart-warming.
it wasn't the typical Edwin Ong kind of genre; thriller, horror, high-climax kind of movie.
but this movie taught me many lessons and i will attempt to share.

1) Be supportive
Obviously, this show's antagonist 'Julie and Julia' are females. Their husbands play the supportive roles. Both stories had their parallels.
What i like is that in life, its not always about the man. women have their dreams and passions too. be supportive and encouraging towards their dreams and goals.
celebrate together with them. cry together with them. In my personal view, both the husbands were the sweetest husbands on planet Earth. I aspire to be like them!
i love you dear dear =)

2) Always finish what you've started
365 days 524 recipes. the blog was started by an inspiration from Julia's husband to challenge her to complete what she wanted and tackle her problem of procrastination. as she blogs and blogs, she somehow got hooked into this dream and was determined to complete it. i learn that we must set personal goals and set to finish them as planned to give you real satisfaction and fulfilment.

3) Never fear failures
Wow.. just how many times did both Julia and Julie failed. yet they determined and finally found their open door of publishing their books and getting a hit on her blog. failure is never fatal or final. always constantly seek to improve and learn. your break-through is round the corner.
Be bold to pursue your dreams.

4) Ma ma mia..
I just love to eat. The movie potrayed a vast variety of french cuisines. I was just like.. 'argh! i want to eat that... and that.. and that!' i poked my dear dear and say 'maybe you could go buy some cook book and learn how to whip a few dishes? its not that difficult' hahaha...
i'm really looking fwd to France. My ideal destination for honey moon!

5) Someone's watching you
You never know who's reading (watching) your article on the other side of the world. Don't do things without excellence. Live a life as if someone is supervising you. I rembered A R Bernard once said that 'maturity is doing something without the need to be supervised'. We often cut some slack when our boss is not around. Have a spirit of excellence in all that we do. You never know when you might be called up and be rewarded. Somethings the little things that you do diligently is just in preparation for a greater thing ahead!

That's about it. Kudos to this movie.
